Another honor for PGU in national Chem-E-Car competition

The Persian Gulf Chem-E-Car team participated in 12th national Chem-E-Car competition in Tehran, hosted by Iranian Chemical Engineering Society and Tehran University, on 24nd and 25th October 2018 and was ranked place 4 among the 28 domestic and foreign (Iraq) teams. The team will be able to attend the Chem-E-Car world competition.
The Chem-E-Car competition is a group competition featuring small cars that can run with ecological and environmentally friendly propulsion with the goal of developing clean-power technology. These car should travel a certain distance with a load of 20-50% of the car weight.
The Persian Gulf team (among the undergraduate students) is headed by Dr. Arash Khosravi, faculty member Faculty of Petroleum, Gas and Petrochemical Engineering (FPGPE) of Persian Gulf University (PGU). The team members are as follow: Raoof Rabiee, Ali Jokar, Mohammad Siahu, Mohsen Rostampoor, Hamed Fakhri, Mohammad Jamshidnejad, Fatemeh Mallahzade and Elham Ansari.
The Persian Gulf team participated in the contest with an innovation approach by designing Zinc-Air fuel cell that is environmentally friendly and does not pollute the atmosphere. It is worth mentioning that the idea of this fuel cell has been already registered by members at the Persian Gulf Science and Technology Park. Therefore, the design of this car and its new ideas, made the team do very well in the race.
